Installation
Installation of the On Board System into a vehicle typically takes somewhere between 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
CAN-Controller
The integrated redundant CAN/LIN-controllers allow the system to access the vehicles CAN bus system. (Access varies by vehicle type). All of the hardware required to controll the CAN bus is fully integrated with the system and does not require addtional external hardware components. The Convadis vehicle library contains many types that are already enabled by the CAN bus controller.
Configuration Options
The Convadis On Board System his highly configurable by directly accessing the device through the keypad or by utilizing the centralized CCom software solution to manage individual or fleet device configurations. The multiple configuration options allow for controlling diverse door lock systems. (For example: direct control of key less entry systems). This system feature enables high integration flexibility and cost savings.
Following completion of installation of the On Board System in the vehicle, the automatic fleet configuration protocol takes over and guarantees up to date firmware versions and fleet configuration on the installed device.
No interaction of vehicle maintenance personnel is required to keep the configurations and firmware updates in sync with the centralized CCom system.
Non-Intrusive Installation
Installing the On Board System in a vehicle is non-intrusive and requires no damaging installation (drilling holes). The system can be uninstalled in minutes and the vehicle can be resold without any visible damages.
